Rhodium Systems Inc. is a software company based in Peachtree Corners, Georgia (in the Atlanta metro area), building tools that give IT professionals and managed service providers better control over their infrastructure. The company’s first product, ResorsIT DNS/IP, delivers DNS configuration management with the audit trail, version history, and rollback capabilities that DNS providers have never offered.
The name reflects the mission: Resource orchestration systems for IT.
Phil Dalrymple, Co-Founder, CTO and Chairman of Rhodium Systems, co-founded MDT Software in the late 1980s and was the primary developer of the original MDT product, later known as MDT AutoSave, a widely used change management and version control system for industrial automation environments. He brings more than 40 years of IT and software development experience to Rhodium. Phil has been a student of DNS management for decades — developing automated tools to compensate for the absence of commercial DNS products long before ResorsIT existed.
Gary Gillespie, Co-Founder and CEO of Rhodium Systems, spent 17 years running MDT Software, where he served as General Manager, Vice President, and President. He led the company through its acquisition by private equity and subsequent merger. Earlier in his career, Gary worked in the space program and at other software companies. He holds two engineering degrees.
After MDT, Phil and Gary teamed up in 2024 to found Rhodium Systems Inc., with DNS configuration management as the natural first product. The founding team had spent decades building software that tracks changes, maintains version history, and enables rollback — first for industrial automation systems, now for DNS. The discipline is the same. The problem is different.
DNS is the first product. Rhodium Systems has also developed an IT Operations Platform that integrates in-house and open-source applications to provide a single IT operations management environment — covering Identity and Access Management, Single Sign-On, network modeling, availability monitoring, endpoint protection, ticketing, and more. The platform is built for organizations that want cohesive management at an affordable price rather than a collection of disconnected tools.
